For Parents

Engage & Excite

Welcome! The most important part of a child's education is the care of their parents. Thank you for being so important to and necessary for their growth!

About Us

Clariclass is a comprehensive website and mentorship program designed for students throughout Dekalb County and the Metro-Atlanta area! Our site includes state-mandated curricula, games, activities, quizzes, and application centers for students and is intended to work simultaneously with participation in our biweekly Zoom sessions.

Since October, Clariclass Zoom meetings have integrated with our parent program, Amplexio Learning, to take place once a week on Sundays from 1 pm EST to 2 pm EST for art lessons and from 4 pm EST to 5 pm EST for tutoring! During sessions, students are able to hone their visual arts skills through a group art class and receive one-on-one tutoring and homework help during tutoring.

Registration and contact information can be found in the buttons to the right.

How to Get Involved

How can you be there for your child during this confusing time?

  • We understand that, as working individuals, it is difficult for many parents to actively participate in their children's educations. However, it is still possible for you to support your child, as we know many of you hope to do in the future or already do.

  • A few tips are included below and are proven and certain to help your child succeed while learning from home.

Communicate with your children's teachers.

Even if it is only once or twice a month, don't hesitate to email your child's teachers with updates and check the information that teachers send to parents each week! You can also use Google Translate to interpret any unclear messages.

Set a place and time for them to complete work.

Students may feel unmotivated to do school work at home, but if you designate a time and place, they may feel a more urgent need to participate in school! Your presence, when possible, will also allow them to feel comfortable with the new setup.

Ensure their Zoom and virtual class participation.

Because all courses will start online, most classes will meet via Zoom for video conferences. Using the laptop provided by Dekalb County, make sure your child logs on to each Zoom to make their academic exposure consistent.

Encourage them to read books in their free time.

Reading is both a fun activity and a mentally stimulating option for recreation and keeps them more engaged with school than video games or TV. When students read, they're learning, even outside courses.

Use online library services provided by Dekalb County.

If you don't have books at home, Dekalb County Public Library offers an online bank of books for your children to enjoy!

Talk with them about their day.

Especially when everything is changing and uncertain, students want to feel like their struggles are being acknowledged. They are likely to feel more engaged in school if their education is positively inextricable from their home life.
