What is 14/20 in its simplest form?

7/10 is the simplest form of 14/20. Remember, the simplest form is found when you can’t divide the numbers to any smaller whole number.

What is ⅕ of 30?

⅕ of 30 is 6. To convert this fraction so it has a denominator of 30, you have to multiply the denominator (5) so it equals 30. If you multiply 5 by 6, it becomes 30. Because you’re multiplying the denominator by 6, you also have to multiply the numerator by 6. Multiplying the numerator and the denominator gives you the fraction 6/30. This tells you that ⅕ of 30 is 6/30. So your answer is 6.

What sign makes this true? 6/7 _ 6/10

6/7 > 6/10. 6/7 and 6/10 have the same numerator, but 6/10 has a higher denominator. 6/10 divides the whole into 10 pieces and takes 6. 6/7 divides the whole into 7 pieces and takes 6. The 1/7 size pieces are bigger.
