Coordinate Plane #1

Coordinate Plane #2

Question 1: Using coordinate grid #1 above, at what coordinate is the red triangle?

(3, 4) we move three units to the right along the x-axis and 4 units up.

Question 2: Using coordinate grid #1 above, explain how you can move from the origin (0,0) to the green circle.

There are many correct answers to this question. Here is just one of them: we can move 1 unit to the right along the x-axis and 5 units down.

Question 3: Using coordinate grid #1 above, at what coordinate is the yellow square?

(-3, 2)! We can move three units to the left along the x-axis and then 2 units up.

Question #4: Using coordinate plane #2, what are the coordinates of each of the points that make up this triangle?

M = (-2,1); L = (-7, 4); K = (-4, 8)
