You can decompose it into: 2/8 + 2/8 or ⅜ + ⅛. 2/8 + 2/8 add up to make 4/8. ⅜ + ⅛ add up to make 4/8. Both of these are decomposed versions of 4/8 because they add up to make it.

What is ⅗ + ⅕ ?

⅘. All you have to do is add the numerators 3 and 1 and put it over the denominator.

What are two multiples of ⅚?

Two multiples of ⅚ are ⅚ and 1. This is because it can only be made by multiplying by itself.

1/2. These two fractions have common denominators. Because of this, all you have to do is subtract the numerators. 11-5 is 6. This gives you 6/12.

When you simplify this fraction, it is 1/2.

6. 9 x 2/3 is 18/3. 18/3 can be simplified to 6/1. This shows that the answer is 6.

What are two ways this fraction be decomposed?

  1. 1/3 + 1/3 + 1/3

  2. 2/3 + 1/3
